A shallow Georgian box with a sliding lid decorated with a print of a coastal view on a painted panel. Inside it is lined with old pink paper and it contains two nibs made from quills. It would have been a souvenir probably from the Brighton area.
The back of the lid has an old inscription-
'Miss Johnson' and the date 1820.

In excellent condition with just a slight loss in the decoration of the painted border (see photos)
