An 18th century shuttle engraved with floral sprays and bordered by a wavy line around a bird's foot pattern. The silver rivet covers are cross hatched and are centred on the middle of the flower heads. The pattern is the same on both sides.
There is a tiny chip on one end, which occurs by a natural fault, and the pattern is slightly narrower on one part of the rim.
