A little red velvet bag with silk sides and a pink velvet band. It is trimmed with a twisted cord in white and silver, a carrying handle made of the same cord and is completed with red silk tassels!
It opens with a gilt metal catch and Inside there's a round space for a thimble but it could be used as a period doll accessory.
The piece dates to circa 1890 and has a registered design number on the side-
RD 186097.
In excellent condition just a little fading of colour in the silk on one side.
