A mid-19th century mutton bone lace bobbin drilled and coloured to spell out the phrase 'I wish to wed the lad I love'. It has its original spangle including some square cuts glass beads.

12 cm long


In excellent condition- no damage and easily readable.

 NB. Lace making was a cottage industry using domestic animal bone and local soft woods.
