A rare find- a Mauchline Ware handled button hook-I've only sold two in 30 years of buying and selling! This example has a transfer print of 'Bamborough Castle' in Northumberland (now spelled Bambrugh).

The image is nice and clear and the steel hook shows only light tarnish. The varnished finish is intact and, other than a couple of minor pin head sized dents, it is in excellent condition (see last photo).
