A French silver thimble with a pattern of applied stars and a shield. It has a decorated rim and is marked with a boar's head for silver assayed in Paris. c1870.
In fair condition-no holes or repairs but it has extensive needle scratching particularly by the single star on the back. It's not obvious to the naked eye but is there.
