A steel cored silver thimble with a daisy head pattern by Charles Horner of Halifax c1920.
A number of patented variants were sold by various makers from the late 19th century to around 1930-Dorcas, Little Dorcas, Junior Dorcas, Dreema, Doris to name a few and they all have a steel core so they are heavier than a hall marked silver thimble and will react to a magnet. c1920.
