An embossed silver bodkin used for threading ribbon. It is English and dates to circa 1840. There are no silver marks as it wasn't legally required on small, light weight pieces of silver of this date but it tests to sterling standard.
In excellent condition- no damage.
6cm long
4mm across at its widest tapering to 2mm at the bulbous end.
