A go-to-bed made of domestic animal bone. It has the built in holder for a single match to light you to bed in its lid and several old matches inside. The base is ring turned which acts as a striker. c1850

In good condition- it is animal bone and not ivory so it has obvious flaws in the material and two old dirt filled expansion cracks at the base which are stable. (see photos)
