A stone set Georgian silver shoe buckle with a pitch fork for of prongs and steel chape. The 'black spot' pastes are arranged in a double row with flower head arrangements of pastes to the four quarters.
There are no silver or maker's marks but the style dates it to c1760.

There is one paste that is a replacement but the others are original. The small pastes only measure 2mm in diameter so it's not that obvious.
