A decorative silver stock buckle with an oval frame and four silver studs on the chape plate.

The hall marks alone don't date it exactly but the maker GB is a known buckle specialist working in London in 1780- 1795 called George Burrows.

5.5 x 4cm

In very good condition- no damage,

NB. Stock buckles were used at the neck to fasten a linen, silk or cotton cloth-the studs fitting into slots made in the cloth on one side and the teeth fastening into the other.
