An attractive silver tape measure with an almost complete original, printed blue silk ribbon. English c1830.
This one will sit upright in a compartment in a sewing box and would have matched a set of silver topped reels.
2cm high including the little knob on top.
Diameter of base just under 2cm.
Diameter of the top 2.5cm.
In excellent condition-no damage and the tape winds in and out freely. It has lost 1 inch from the start of the ribbon but the number 1 is just visible.
NB. It was for a left handed person.
