An unusual, and quite rare, green glass lace bobbin with pale blue applied spots plus original spangle. 19th century.
It is in good condition -I can't imagine it was ever used although I did have its pair once but must have sold that separately as I can't find it. It was the same green glass but with spirals of blue rather than spots.
Glass bobbins must have almost certainly been made as a novelty gifts.
