An attractive French silver notebook with gilt highlighting. The piece is decorated with a central spray of flowers surrounded by arabesques of stylised leaves with all the silver surfaces being worked in some way. The interior is lined in a vibrant magenta silk as is the note paper book cover. There is also a fold out card with the days of the week written in French for memorandum. c 1870
It has tiny French silver marks.
In excellent condition throughout. The interior is in pristine condition and the paper unused- a treasured keepsake.
