A box of sewing tools the case clad in pieces of mother of pearl with a push button catch and a shield on the lid with the original owner's initials BS. The pearl is in fair condition- no gaps but there is some chipping to the corners of individual pieces.
Inside the tools sit in blue velvet- a pair of pearl handled tools- a corkscrew and a stiletto, a steel bodkin, a pair of steel scissors (a close fit but not the original pair) , a pearl knife and an engraved silver thimble. The lid has pockets with two needle packets for GR & Co London. English. c1870.
