An attractive patch pin cushion made of 20 small triangles of coloured silk decoratively stuck with old pins. It was probably made as a tour de force of the needle woman who made it rather than for any practical purpose as the pins show no sign of ever being removed and replaced.
It is quite heavy so could be filled with sawdust or possibly emery. The silks are in excellent condition with no holes and the threads are firm.
