A wooden needle case inlaid with different woods creating the image of a dog on one side and a geometric design on the other. c1860
Inside it is lined in plain white paper and has the original needle flannel with some old needles still in place. The spine is made of worn red velvet.

Condition- The inlay is all present with no filler and the varnish is the original finish. However the side panels have bowed over the years.
