A silver chatelaine with five chains attached to a clip in the form of a safety pin. Four of the chains end in silver coins all with the date of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. The fifth item is a pin cushion mounted with two silver plaques depicting Pope Pious IX (died 1878).
The silver has no hall marks but it tests to sterling silver. The four Victorian coins are a silver three penny bit, a six pence, a shilling and a half crown.
A very personal keepsake commemorating Queen Victoria's reign.
